Brackets, meet racquets

Bracquets.com makes tournament tools for racquet sports, starting with the draw sheet every platform tennis event runs on.

What it is

Tools for the tournament desk

Every tournament runs on a draw: who plays whom, who moves on, where the losers go next. At many racquet sports events that draw still lives on paper or in a spreadsheet someone built years ago. Bracquets.com turns that work into simple tools that run in a web browser and print cleanly, for the tournament directors, hut commanders and volunteers who keep events moving.

The first tool is the platform tennis draw sheet: a 16-team mirrored or 8-team single-page draw with seeding, automatic byes, consolation and reprieve brackets, winning scores and your own league logo. It needs no account, and your draws stay in your browser.

Who is behind it

Aperturity, LLC and Demian Johnston

Bracquets.com is a product of Aperturity, LLC, and is built by Demian Johnston.

Demian is a long-time part of the platform tennis community and a former President of the American Platform Tennis Association (APTA) Board. Within the APTA he is known as “the PTI Guy,” after the Platform Tennis Index, the sport’s player rating.

He has also helped bring technology onto the court. In the mid-2000s he introduced Mark Thomford, now the APTA’s IT Director, to platform tennis. He later connected Mark with APTA leadership as Mark’s Court Director app for live scoring took shape, and that app has since become the main way APTA matches are umpired.

Bracquets.com continues that work: practical tools, made by someone from inside the game, for the people who run it.
